Snow, ice and wind keep complicating driving around Czechia

Drivers in northern Czechia should still expect difficult conditions as snow, ice and strong winds continue to affect roads across the country. In the Liberec and Ústí nad Labem regions, roads are passable only with caution, with new or compacted snow, icy patches and drifting snow reported. Morning temperatures range between minus seven and minus four degrees Celsius, falling to around minus ten in the mountains. Meteorologists warn that strong winds may significantly lower perceived temperatures and locally create snowdrifts, especially at higher elevations. Some mountain routes remain closed to heavy trucks, while similar winter conditions are complicating driving in other regions of Czechia as well.
