Snow disrupts flights and traffic across Czechia
Snowfall disrupted air and road transport across large parts of Czechia on Friday. Prague Airport temporarily reduced the number of arrivals per hour due to runway clearing, causing delays and leading to the cancellation of more than 15 flights. Heavy snow also complicated traffic in Central Bohemia, where police recorded more than 200 accidents, mostly without serious injuries. A serious crash involving a car and a bus near Oseček left one person critically injured. Snow-related accidents and road closures were also reported in Plzeň and the Ústí nad Labem regions, including a crash involving a bus carrying children, none of whom were hurt.
