Slovakia declares Czechia a Covid-19 risk area with effect from Friday

Slovakia has declared Czechia a Covid-19 high-risk area effective as of Friday. This means anyone seeking to enter Slovakia must present a negative test result no older than 72 hours or go into quarantine for 5 days upon arrival and then be tested. There are some exceptions for commuting employees.

Slovakia is the third country in recent days to declare the Czech Republic a risk area, after Denmark and Switzerland, while Germany and Belgium have put the capital Prague on their “red lists” of risky travel destinations.
