Slovak president visits Czech Republic on eve of 32nd anniversary of Velvet Revolution

Slovak President Zuzana Čaputová who is on a one-day visit to the Czech Republic on Tuesday met briefly with the Czech head of state, Miloš Zeman. The meeting took place in Prague’s Central Military Hospital where Mr. Zeman is getting treatment for an unspecified chronic illness. President Čaputová will later meet with the Speaker of the Senate Miloš Vystrčil and the head of the newly-elected Chamber of Deputies Markéta Pekarová Adamová. Before her departure the Slovak head of state is due to lay flowers at the November 17th memorial on Narodní třída and hold a debate with students.
