Ski season starts in East Czechia

The ski season opened today in both the Krkonoše and Orlické Mountains, offering more than five kilometres of slopes — a wider selection than in recent years. Skiers are already on the runs in Špindlerův Mlýn, Černá hora in the Černá hora–Pec SkiResort, and the smaller Šerlišský Mlýn area. Most open slopes currently have over half a metre of mainly artificial snow. More resorts will join at the weekend, including Pec pod Sněžkou, Malá Úpa and Říčky, bringing the total to more than 16 kilometres of ski runs available across the region.
