Sixty-nine Czech athletes competing at Winter Olympics in Bejing

The Czech Republic has 69 athletes at the Winter Olympic Games in Beijing. The biggest Czech medal hopefuls are snow superstar Ester Ledecká ,the first athlete to win gold in two different disciplines at the same Olympic Winter Games, Martina Sáblíková, who already has six Olympic gold medals to her name and 25-year-old Markéta Davidová in biathlon who won gold at last year’s World Championships. The Czech government is boycotting the Games over Chinese human rights abuses.
