Shops will remain open on 17 November
Monday, the Day of the Struggle for Freedom and Democracy, is a public holiday. Czechia is marking 36 years since the beginning of the Velvet Revolution, which led to the fall of the Communist regime in former Czechoslovakia. Shops, however, will remain open on Monday. The ban on sales in stores over 200 square meters does not apply to this public holiday. Stores will next be closed only on Christmas Eve in the afternoon.
