Second flight from Israel brings 80 Czechs home

The second repatriation flight brought over 80 more Czech citizens to Prague on Sunday who decided to leave Israel after an air war broke out between the two countries on June 13. The plane landed at the Kbely airport shortly before 01:00 CEST, Defense Minister Jana Černochová told ČTK.

Leaving Israel is currently complicated by the closure of its airspace due to the fighting and the cancellation of flights between Prague and Tel Aviv. Including the first evacuation flight earlier this week, the army has now transported roughly 150 people from Israel to Czechia. An additional 30 to 50 Czechs have taken advantage of other flights, such as the Slovak government’s special aircraft.
