Saharan dust to return to Czech skies on Sunday

Saharan dust is expected to drift over Czechia again on Sunday, potentially taking the edge off temperatures forecast to approach 30 degrees Celsius. Meteorologists say the dust will remain high in the atmosphere, mainly around two kilometres above ground, and is unlikely to affect air quality at street level. The fine dust, carried north from storms over the Sahara, has reached Czechia several times already this year. Forecasters say its presence, along with high cloud cover, could slightly reduce afternoon temperatures compared with current model predictions.
