Rakušan seeks meeting with Fiala and Hřib to discuss opposition cooperation
Vít Rakušan, leader of the Mayors and Independents (STAN), plans to meet with Petr Fiala of the Civic Democrats (ODS) and Pirate Party leader Zdeněk Hřib to discuss possible forms of opposition cooperation. He announced the move in response to Christian Democrats chairman Marek Výborný’s proposal to create an “opposition council” as a platform for joint coordination in parliament. Rakušan said he wants to build on the partnership between STAN, the Spolu coalition, and the Pirates, even though together they won only 92 seats. He initiated the meeting to agree on the shape of future collaboration.
