PwC analysis: sales on new cars in Czechia to drop by 22 percent

Sales of new passenger cars in the Czech Republic are likely to drop by 22 percent in 2020, as compared to the previous year, to 195,000 vehicles, suggests an analysis by PricewaterhouseCoopers published on Thursday. The main reasons behind the development are anti-coronavirus measures, followed by a subsequent fall of demand.

In the first half of 2020, sales of new passenger cars in the Czech Republic dropped by 26 percent year-on-year to 95,029 vehicles. The drop in sales in the Czech Republic during the coronavirus pandemic was significantly lower than in other EU countries.
