Sales of used cars down by over 10 percent in 2022

Sales of second-hand cars in Czechia dropped by 10.4 percent to 661,000 vehicles in 2022, according to an analysis by Cebia, which monitors the origin of cars on Czech roads. The sales were affected by high inflation, which caused a drop in demand in the second half of the year.

Imports of second-hand cars have slowed down by 13.2 percent year-on-year to 161,186 vehicles, while the average age of the cars has increased to 10.8 years.
