Presidential elections 2023
Retired army general, Petr Pavel, has been elected the next president of Czechia. He will be sworn in on March 9.
Mr. Pavel promised to be a president for all citizens, work for the good of the country and bring decency, respect and humility to society.
Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala welcomed the outcome of the elections as a victory of human decency, democracy and Western values.
