President Pavel to discuss security and EU Integration with Moldovan President Sandu

Czech President Petr Pavel, visiting Moldova’s capital Chișinău, is set to meet today with Moldovan President Maia Sandu to discuss bilateral relations and the broader security situation in Europe. Pavel will also meet with Prime Minister Dorin Recean and engage in a discussion with Moldovan high school students. Czechia supports Moldova’s pro-European course and EU accession efforts. President Pavel's office emphasized continued Czech assistance in countering the effects of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and resisting Moscow’s destabilizing influence in Moldova, especially ahead of the country’s crucial parliamentary elections later this year.
