President Pavel attends meeting of Czech Security Council
President Petr Pavel will take part in a scheduled meeting of the State Security Council on Monday. The agenda will include an assessment of last year’s flood response and a review of the Czech Republic’s National Cybersecurity Strategy. Since taking office, Pavel has attended several council sessions, including one following the December 2023 university shooting. He has said he will join meetings when the topics require his presence. This time, the council will also discuss the country’s 2023 defense report and the situation regarding migration and foreigner integration.
