President Pavel assures Zelenskyj of support as European states plan to intensify aid

President Petr Pavel reaffirmed full support for Ukraine in a call with President Volodymyr Zelenskyj, stating that Czechia and other European nations will step up assistance. Zelenskyj expressed gratitude for Czech support and discussed artillery shell supplies and broader aid efforts. The EU is considering a €6 billion military package, including 1.5 million shells and air defense systems. Pavel also criticized Donald Trump’s remarks calling Zelenskyj a “dictator.” On Monday, Pavel will join a Ukraine conference via video, attended by EU leaders, including Ursula von der Leyen and António Costa.
