President names two possible candidates for Constitutional Court

President Petr Pavel has named two possible candidates for positions on the Czech Constitutional Court. Speaking at a regular news conference on Monday, the recently installed head of state announced that Daniela Zemanová, a former head of the national union of judges, and the chairman of the Supreme Administrative Court, Josef Baxa, could be nominees. Mr. Pavel said he and his team were still working on a third contender.

The president also revealed several names from his nascent team of advisors and said others would soon be added.

He also reiterated he would be travelling to Ukraine this month but did not reveal a date.
