President names four dozen new district judges

President Miloš Zeman has named 48 new district court judges on Wednesday, the Czech News Agency reports. The candidates were nominated by outgoing Justice Minister Marie Benešová. Two further future judges were not able to attend the official ceremony in the President’s Lány residency, with an alternative date being set for them.

The new judges are composed of 28 women and 22 men. Most of them, 17, will be serving in district courts located in the Czech capital.
