Prague Zoo reveals name of its second baby pangolin

The second baby pangolin born at Prague Zoo was given the name Connie, the zoo has announced on its website. Several thousand people took part in choosing the name from a shortlist of four.

The pangolin pup has the same parents, the female Run Hou Tang and male Guo Bao, as the first short-tailed pangolin to be born in Europe, Šiška, who was born in the zoo in early 2023. The pair of parent pangolins were sent to Prague in 2022 from a zoo in Taiwan.

According to Prague Zoo breeders, the baby pangolin continues to gain weight and has already started riding around on her mother’s tail.
