Prague marks third anniversary of Ukraine invasion with gathering and march

A public gathering takes place today at Prague’s Old Town Square to mark the third anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The event, organized by several NGOs, aims to maintain support for Ukraine. President Petr Pavel, Ukrainian Ambassador Vasyl Zvaryč, and NGO leaders will speak, with actors sharing war stories and musical performances included. A march will follow to the Taras Shevchenko monument. Similar events are planned across Czechia as the anniversary falls on February 24. Nearly 400,000 Ukrainian refugees currently hold temporary protection in the country.
