Prague hosts week-long Cirkopolis festival with French and Belgian guests
The Cirkopolis contemporary circus festival opens in Prague on Sunday with Tout Rien by the Belgian company Cie Modo Grosso at Palác Akropolis. The biennial event brings together Czech artists with leading French and Belgian performers and runs across several Prague venues until February 14. Highlights include minimalist circus creator Rémi Luchez and his metaphor-driven piece L’Homme Canon, as well as works focused on physical precision, playfulness and experimentation. French performer Alexandre Fray will also create a Czech version of his Grand-Mother Project, involving Prague women aged 70 and over. The festival has been showcasing innovative circus in Prague since 2013.
