Prague extends cemetery opening hours for All Souls’ Day

Prague has extended opening hours at more than 30 cemeteries ahead of All Souls’ Day, observed on November 2. Cemeteries managed by the city’s municipal funeral services company will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Saturday through Monday, an hour later than usual. From November 3, they will close at 5 p.m. A special programme includes daytime and evening cemetery tours, a behind-the-scenes visit to Strašnice crematorium, a talk on discussing death with children and a family walk through Malostranský Cemetery in Smíchov. Some guided tours have already sold out.
