Prague blessed with another jazz event

Prague will soon be hosting the 24th Annual International Jazz Festival, one of Europe's better-known jazz fests. The Czech capital is world-renowned as a jazz-crazed city, and the festival is now a firm fixture on Prague's cultural calendar. Pavla Navratilova reports:

Prague's International Jazz Festival has an enduring history that extends well back into the days of communism. The event's organizers, Pragoconcert, managed to bring jazz greats from all over the world to Czechoslovakia at a time when communist cultural censorship was at its height. I spoke to Pragoconcert's Artistic Director, Ivo Letov, who describes this year's event: To hear more about Prague's International Jazz Festival, tune in to next week's Arts with Pavla Navratilova and Alena Skodova. And if you're in Prague, the festival takes place from the 26th to 30th of October.
