Power outage hits parts of Prague, forcing lower house to suspend session

Parts of Prague experienced a power outage on Friday morning, affecting the left bank of the Vltava River, particularly the districts of Prague 5 and 6.

The outage was caused by a technical fault at two substations, energy distributor PRE told the Novinky news website.

The blackout also forced the Chamber of Deputies, located on the left bank, to suspend its session. PRE said it was working to restore the power supply and expected the problem to be resolved by midday.
