Police investigate violent road-rage attack on D6 motorway

Police are investigating a violent road-rage attack on the D6 motorway, west of Prague, where a driver first forced a car carrying a young woman and her 8-year-old daughter to brake sharply before opening the driver’s door and violently assaulting her for respecting the lowered speed limit and slowing him down.

When the woman told him that the incident was being recorded by a dashboard camera, which her daughter was holding at the time, he tried to snatch the device. The girl managed to hide it under the seat, preserving crucial footage for the police.

Investigators are handling the case under expedited proceedings on suspicion of attempted bodily harm, disorderly conduct and theft.

A police spokesperson said both the woman and her daughter were in a state of shock.
