PM Fiala's appearance in Brno interrupted by student protest

On Monday, twenty protesters disrupted Prime Minister Petr Fiala’s debate in the atrium of the Faculty of Social Studies at Masaryk University in Brno. Holding banners, they positioned themselves in front of the prime minister and the debate moderator, refusing to leave. They argued that his speech was essentially an election campaign, which they believed had no place on a university campus.

The protesters voiced criticism over Fiala’s support for Israel and US President Donald Trump. Their actions interrupted the first hour of the two-hour debate, but they refrained from causing disruption during the second hour.
