Plaque honoring military resistance unveiled at former police prison in Terezín

A commemorative plaque honoring the military resistance was unveiled on Wednesday at the former police prison in the Small Fortress of Terezín. The ceremony was the final event organized by the Terezín Memorial to mark 80 years since the end of the Second World War. The director of the organization, Jan Roubínek, emphasized the courage of the men who chose to resist at a time when it seemed all was lost, resisting a regime that was monstrous not only in its brutality but also in its ideology, which sought to crush freedom, humanity, and the right to life.
