People in Czechia no longer required to show Covid certificates
Starting on Thursday, people in the Czech Republic are no longer required to show a Covid certificate at restaurants and other facilities, as well as mass cultural and sporting events.
However, certificates are still needed for travel abroad. The validity of Covid-19 vaccinations will be limited to nine months since the second dose and can be extended with a booster jab.
The government lifted the requirement to prove Covid vaccination or recovery from the disease following a ruling of the Supreme Administrative Court, according to which the checks were illegal. However, Prime Minister Fiala said the decision was not made under pressure of the court verdict.
