Pavel: Trump’s UN speech aimed more at US than global audience

Czech President Petr Pavel says US President Donald Trump’s speech at the UN General Assembly was aimed more at an American audience ahead of the November elections than at a global one. Speaking to Czech journalists in New York, Pavel said many of the topics and the tone of Trump’s address had been expected. He highlighted Trump’s strong stance on Iran as well as his comments on artificial intelligence and UN reform. Pavel is due to address the General Assembly on Wednesday, focusing on risks linked to new technologies and the need to reform the United Nations.
