Pavel Taussig who authored screenplay for Oscar-winning Kolya has died at 74

Film historian, screenwriter and publicist Pavel Taussig has died at the age of 74, the Zlín Film Festival for Children and Youth informed on its website. Taussig was the author of the screenplay for Jan Svěrák's 1996 Oscar-winning film Kolya. He also made numerous documentaries about Czech film and the lives of Czech film stars. He was closely linked to the Zlín International Film Festival for Children and Youth to which he made a major contribution.
