Numerous events across Czechia show overwhelming support for Ukraine

The Archbishop of Prague, Cardinal Dominik Duka celebrated a mass for peace at St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague on Friday evening. The mass was attended by Ukrainians and Czechs and the Cardinal celebrated part of the mass in the Ukrainian language.

People around the country are demonstrating their support for Ukraine, with the Ukrainian flag appearing on many buildings and demonstrations against the Russian invasion of the country taking place daily. The movement Million Moments for Democracy has called another big demonstration in support of Ukraine on Wenceslas Square on Sunday afternoon and Czech Television is organizing a charity concert in aid of the country on Tuesday evening. Czech have already donated over 100 million crowns in support of Ukraine and many people have offered to take in Ukrainian families.
