Martina Sáblíková to become assistant coach after retiring from speed skating

Martina Sáblíková, the most successful Czech speed skater in history, will join the national team’s coaching staff as an assistant to head coach Petr Novák after ending her competitive career. The news was reported by Sportegy, the agency representing her.

The three-time Olympic champion retired from competition after the World Championships in Heerenveen in March. She is gradually adjusting to her new role, which she says brings its own challenges.
