Martina Sáblíková takes bronze at World Championships
Czech speed skater Martina Sáblíková has won the bronze medal in the 3000 metres at the World Championships in Heerenveen. The 35-year-old Czech skater was beaten by Norway's Ragne Wiklund and Irene Schouten from the Netherlands on Thursday evening.
It was the twelfth World Championship medal in the 3000 metres in Sáblíková’s career. On Sunday, the Czech speed skater will also compete in the World Championships’ 5000 metres race.
