Czech farmers can apply for aid over Middle East crisis

Czech farmers can apply from today for emergency support to offset rising costs linked to the Middle East crisis. The package includes CZK 264 million from the EU’s agricultural reserve, supplemented by Czech national funding. The aid is intended to help cover higher energy, fertiliser and fuel costs. Farmers can seek fuel compensation or payments based on the area they farm, while aquaculture businesses are also eligible for fuel support. The State Agricultural Intervention Fund will accept applications until October 31.
