Czech footballers lose to Spain 3-1 in Nations League

The Czech football team have lost their third match in the elite group of the Nations League and are still waiting for their first point under Spanish coach Santi Denia. They were beaten 3-1 by the reigning world and European champions in Oviedo.

Czech defender Jiří Sláma said the team could be proud of its performance, having tried to play their own game and remain competitive against Spain. He acknowledged that Spain were extremely difficult opponents, adding that their performance was a level above those of Croatia and England.
