Babiš talks up Czech-Italian action plan after meeting with Meloni in Prague

After a meeting in Prague on Tuesday early evening with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Prime Minister Andrej Babiš highlighted a newly agreed joint action plan set to run until 2030.

Mr. Babiš said he expected this to lead to specific projects in the coming years, adding that the fact Czechia and Italy will jointly organise an exhibition on Pompeii and Herculaneum in 2028 was also a symbol of the two states’ good relations.

For her part, Ms Meloni said the pair’s discussions had covered not only European affairs but also energy, the defence industry, infrastructure and migration.
