Czech army to step up military exercises next year

The Czech Army has planned more than 160 exercises at home and abroad this year, and is set to intensify training next year with more than 200 exercises planned, Czech Television reported.

According to the General Staff, the program reflects lessons learned from current conflicts as well as the introduction of new military equipment. Soldiers are currently training with drones near Vyškov.

The army is also continuing its rearmament program. This year it has taken delivery of tanks, a transport aircraft and other equipment ordered by the Defence Ministry in previous years.
