Czech Gripen jets again deployed to patrol Polish airspace

Czech Gripen fighter jets were again deployed on Wednesday night to patrol Polish airspace on NATO orders. They were not required to take action, the Czech Army said. The aircraft, which also protected Polish airspace last Friday, are now back at their base in Pardubice.

The Gripens were carrying out a combat air patrol, meaning they were ready to respond to any potential threat.

The Army stated that they were part of NATO’s integrated air and missile defence system and were ready for orders, day and night.
