STEM poll: ANO would win elections with 31.1 percent
The ruling ANO party would win September’s parliamentary election with 31.1 percent of the vote, according to a poll by the STEM agency for CNN Prima News, released on Sunday. STAN (Mayors and Independents) would come second with 14.8 percent, ahead of the Civic Democrats (ODS) on 12.8 percent. SPD (Freedom and Direct Democracy) and the Pirates would also clear the five-percent threshold needed to enter the lower house.
STAN is the only major political group to have gained support since June, rising by 1.3 percentage points. ANO fell by around one point to 31.1 percent, while ODS, SPD and the Pirates all lost slightly. The Motorists dropped to 4.9 percent, just below the threshold. TOP 09 and the Christian Democrats also remain below five percent.
The poll was conducted from September 2 to 7 among 1,539 people.
