Minimum monthly wage to rise by 2,500 crowns

The Czech minimum monthly wage is set to rise by 2,500 crowns to 24,900 crowns from January. That would put it at 44.6 percent of the average wage. The government approved a regulation setting the formula for calculating the minimum wage at its session on Monday.

By 2028, the minimum wage is expected to reach 45.8 percent of average earnings. Based on current estimates, that would mean a further increase of 2,000 crowns to 26,900 crowns.
