Babiš and Costa support EU enlargement at Prague meeting

Prime Minister Andrej Babiš and European Council President António Costa expressed their support for the European Union’s enlargement process following a meeting in Prague on Thursday.

At a joint news conference, the Czech prime minister reiterated his hope that Montenegro will join the EU in 2028. For his part, Mr. Costa described the enlargement process as a geopolitical priority, mentioning Moldova and Ukraine in addition to the countries of the Western Balkans.
