Forgotten ivory Infant Jesus statuette found in Česká Třebová

A long-forgotten, approximately 400-year-old ivory statuette of the Infant Jesus has been discovered at the Municipal Museum in Česká Třebová, East Bohemia, the Czech News Agency reported on Sunday.

The figurine is now on display in a special case at the town’s St James’s Church. It most likely comes from the same workshop or was crafted by the same master as a famous statuette in Salzburg known as the Loretokindl (Christ Child of Loreto).
