Fuel prices rise on final day of Czech price cap

Fuel prices in Czechia are rising on the final day of the government's temporary price regulation.

Since Friday, the price of the country's most popular petrol, Natural 95, has increased by as much as one crown per litre at some filling stations. Diesel prices have risen even more sharply in some cases, according to the Czech News Agency (ČTK).

Over the weekend, the maximum permitted prices are 43.41 crowns per litre for petrol and 42.13 crowns for diesel. From Monday, filling stations will once again be free to set their own prices after more than three months of government regulation.
