MP Turek fined over two buildings without planning permission

MP Filip Turek of the Motorists party has received fines totalling CZK 200,000 over two construction projects he carried out without planning permission, the Czech News Agency reported on Friday. The Building Authority classified one case as negligence and the other as intent.

Mr. Turek has been in the news this week after being involved in a traffic accident that saw a medical vehicle overturned in central Prague. He says he will step down as government commissioner for climate police and the Green Deal if found guilty of causing the collision.
