Activists wearing hats and using fans highlight impacts of climate crisis in Prague

Representatives of Amnesty International drew attention to the impacts of the climate crisis in central Prague today and called on the Czech government to adopt a climate law based on the protection of human rights.

People attending the event could sign a petition calling for the adoption of a climate law. According to Eliška Zástavová from Amnesty International, the petition had collected hundreds of signatures as of today. The petition calls on the government and Prime Minister Andrej Babiš (ANO) to legally recognise climate protection as a human rights issue and ensure that the transition to a carbon-neutral economy is socially fair.
