Temperature records broken in many places in Czechia

Temperature records were broken on Friday at roughly one in 10 of the weather stations in Czechia that have been recording data for more than 30 years, the Czech Hydro-meteorological Institute said.

The hottest temperature was recorded in Doksany in the Litoměřice area at 36 degrees Celsius; however, this was not high enough to break the record for June 19.

Record-breaking highs were also recorded in Domažlice, as well as in Lednice and Brod nad Dyjí in the Břeclav district, where temperatures reached around 34 Celsius.
