Czechia protests Russian threats against firms

The Czech Foreign Ministry has lodged a strong protest with Russian Ambassador Alexander Zmeevsky over threats directed at Czech companies. The envoy was summoned on the instruction of Foreign Minister Petr Macinka (Motorists) and received by senior official Hana Hubáčková. Prague said such rhetoric toward Czechia, its businesses and allies is unacceptable. The move follows a statement by the Russian Ministry of Defence listing European firms producing drones for Ukraine, including companies with Czech branches. Moscow warned they could become military targets, prompting concern in Prague over the safety of businesses operating in the country.
