NHL: Nečas shines with three points, Czech goalies secure wins
Martin Nečas delivered a standout performance in the NHL, scoring once and adding two assists to lead the Colorado Avalanche to a 3–1 win over the Calgary Flames. Named the game’s first star, Nečas continues to push towards the 100-point mark, now sitting on 98 with four games remaining. Czech goaltenders also impressed. Jakub Dobeš made 17 saves as the Montreal Canadiens beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 2–1, while Karel Vejmelka stopped 29 shots in Utah’s 4–1 victory over the Nashville Predators. Elsewhere, Daniel Vladař was pulled early as Calgary lost, and Marek Alscher made his NHL debut for Florida.
