Jiří Lehečka reaches Miami Open semi-final after beating Martin Landaluce
Czech tennis player Jiří Lehečka has reached the semi-finals of the Miami Open after defeating Spanish surprise package Martin Landaluce 7–6, 7–5. It is only the second time Lehečka has made the last four at a Masters tournament. He will face France’s Arthur Fils on Friday for a place in the final.
Lehečka’s run in Miami mirrors that of fellow Czech Karolína Muchová, who will play American Coco Gauff in the women’s semi-final. Both Czechs are hoping to follow in the footsteps of Jakub Menšík, who won the tournament in Florida in a surprise victory last year.
