US woman latest detained over suspected terrorist arson attack in Czechia

A woman detained in Slovakia on suspicion of involvement in arson in the Czech Republic is an American citizen. A court in Bratislava remanded the woman in custody on Monday, days after a fire was started at an arms factory run by LPP Holding in the Czech city of Pardubice.

Earlier a court in Pardubice had placed two suspects in custody on terrorism charges: a foreign man and a Czech woman. The former shouted “Free Palestine” while being led into court.

The alleged group behind the attack sent an email to a Czech media outlet saying that “the Earthquake Faction” had started Friday's blaze at what they called a “production centre for Israeli weapons”, due to the operator’s “role in the Israeli genocide in Gaza”.
